Vince Grella is a hard-working ball winner who plays in midfield for Italian club Parma.

After moving to Italy from Carlton in 1998, he sparkled for Empoli and Ternana. Following Empoli’s relegation to Serie B in 2003/2004, Parma snapped him up where he joined good friend and national team-mate Marco Bresciano.

Grella represented Australia at the 1997 and 1999 FIFA World Youth Championships but did not win his first senior cap until 2003, in Australia's 3-1 win against England at Upton Park.
