Everton are believed to have put Tim Cahill on parity with the club's top earners in a new five-year deal.
 

Cahill is currently with the Australia squad preparing for the Asian Cup having recovered from the broken foot injury that wrecked the end of his last campaign, while Arteta will return to pre-season training with the Toffees next week.
