Perth Glory FC will thoroughly review the recommendations of the Major Stadia Taskforce after being presented with the final report alongside the state’s other peak sporting organisations.
Perth Glory would like to commend the Taskforce and Western Australian Government in their dedication to the process of ensuring a comprehensive report has been tabled.
After an initial inspection of the recommendations, Perth Glory is disappointed a new dedicated rectangular stadium or a suitable upgrade to existing facilities has not been accommodated.
Perth Glory’s priority is to ensure that football supporters, and those of other WA rectangular sporting codes, are able to enjoy their chosen sport in the most appropriate facility.
The report recommends only minor upgrades to the club's current home ground at Members Equity Stadium including;
* Upgrade of lighting
* Upgrade of corporate facilities
* Addition of video screens
Perth Glory looks forward to meeting with the WA Government in the coming weeks to discuss the recommendations of the Taskforce.
The club will conduct a full analysis of the report before making further comment.
