The entire team took to the stage to receive a framed team photo and their home strip from the season amidst boisterous applause. However, the biggest cheer went to Steve Eagleton thanks to his devoted fans, the Kamikaze crew.
The Jets Officials then took to the stage to thank the people who had made this year’s campaign so successful. Praise and thanks were given to the players, the coaching staff, the administration staff and the sponsors. However, Joel Griffiths probably summed up the sentiment of most when he took to the podium to receive his Supporters player award:
“The club is nothing without its supporters and your support has been very much appreciated”, Joel Griffiths said.
The night was a fitting end to a wonderful season and focus will now be directed on preparing for the next campaign.
